What is Magnified VBS all about?
VBS is an exciting fun-filled week is packed with Bible lessons, worship, games, crafts, and so much more! Magnified! VBS will encourage kids to look closely at the details of God’s amazing world and magnify, or proclaim, the greatness of God. God made us, cares about us, loves us, forgives us, and is faithful to keep all His promises to us. We can praise God together! We were made to magnify God!
What ages can attend Magnified VBS at Chapel Wood?
Magnified VBS is for children from age 4 years old (by August 31) through sixth grade. (Younger children of our VBS volunteers are allowed to attend VBS)
What is the cost of Magnified VBS?
Chapel Wood's Magnified VBS is completely FREE!
What are the dates and times for Magnified VBS?
Monday, August 4 – Friday, August 8 from 6 - 8:30 PM. Don't forget Family Night on Saturday the 9th from 6-8 PM with inflatables, BBQ, entertainment (the kids will perform their VBS songs), and great prizes. Bring the entire family!
Where is Chapel Wood located?
Chapel Wood is located at 30410 Third Avenue Black Diamond, Washington. We are next door to Gracene's Cupcakes.
What if my child has allergies or medical conditions?
Please indicate any food allergies, dietary restrictions, or medical conditions we should be aware of on your child’s registration form.
What if my child can't attend every day of VBS?
We are happy to have your child join us any days they can!
Who is eligible to volunteer at Chapel Wood's Magnified VBS?
We only allow adults and teens who have regularly attended Chapel Wood to volunteer at our VBS. All VBS workers are required to complete Chapel Wood's MinistrySafe screening and training process and submit to Federal background checks.
What should my child bring to Magnified VBS?
As little as possible! They will be moving from room to room, and unnecessary stuff can get lost easily. The kids are encouraged to bring a donation that goes towards a VBS missions project during the week.
How do I pick up my child after VBS?
At the end of our closing session, the children will be taken to the field behind the church and seated in their respective groups. We ask that you go to the group leader and show your security number to them. Please note that a picture of the tag is permissible for entry, so it would be a good idea to save a picture of it on your phone as soon as you receive it in case it is lost or forgotten.
What if someone other than me is picking up my child?
Please let your child’s leader know at drop-off if someone other than you will be picking up your child. Be sure to give your child’s security tag or send a picture of it to that person. If that person does not have your child’s security tag, we will have to contact you first.
