Praying for my Nation – Spiritual Awakening
“if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14; NKJ)
This holds specific promise for the nation of Israel, but there is a principle for our country as well. The fulfillment of this promise began when Daniel began praying for himself and God’s people in repentance.
Likewise pray for the church across America to turn fully to God. To put our faith completely in Jesus Christ rather than any politician, party, or program. Pray that churches would return fully to holding and teaching the Word of God without compromise. Pray that Christians would get serious and bold about praying for the lost and sharing the Gospel. Pray that God would send Great Awakening to this country. This country has seen three Great Awakenings in its history. Pray for God’s grace and mercy to send us another Great Awakening.
